Nina Huynh is a Vancouver-based content creator and storyteller who began her journey on YouTube over eight years ago. Since then, she’s built a loyal community across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Nina creates fashion, lifestyle, beauty, and home content—anything that sparks joy—and has collaborated with countless brands along the way.

Her husband, Dejan Stanic, is a graphic designer and creative by trade, currently building his own brand, Day Off. Together, they previously co-founded Saturday Mornings Cereal, a pop-up project that brought community and creativity to life. Nina also hosts events in Vancouver that celebrate connection and culture. Most recently, the couple’s thoughtfully curated home and creative partnership were featured in Vancouver Magazine. They’re also proud parents of two young kids.

We spent a slow, coffee-filled morning with Nina and Dejan in their cozy home—talking creativity, content, and the joy of raising their two boys, Blu and Lucky, in Vancouver. From brand collaborations to parenting advice, they shared their favorite memories and what it means to grow together—as creatives, partners, and a family of four.

Q: How would you describe each other in 3 words?

Nina: Funny, creative, and very detail-orientated.

Dejan: Beautiful, super smart, and giving.

Q: Your advice for anyone looking to get into content creation but don’t know where to start?

Nina: Take a look at what you enjoy consuming. I feel like that’s a really good place to start. Because I think sometimes we compare ourselves to other creators or what other people are making, but ask yourself, is that genuinely what you enjoy consuming. Then from there you can figure out what avenue you want to take because there is so much you can do in content creation.

Dejan: Create what you love and people will gravitate towards it.

Q: Where do you go when you are looking for inspiration?

Nina: I actually really like this question because I feel like when I try to force inspiration it never works. When I’m actually just living my everyday mundane life, like cooking meals, going on walks, doing stuff with the kids, that is when my brain is the most creative. And then I’m able to draw from my real life. We also consume a lot of TV and art. And sometimes looking back at your old work is actually really inspiring.

Dejan: Thrifting is a fun one because you never know what you will find. It gets the creative juices flowing.

Q: What are some of your fondest memories as content creators?

Nina: I feel like it goes without saying, but shooting with Sephora for their national campaign was an awesome privilege. It was a big milestone. As well, most recently with Maison Margiela fragrances. I love this job because there’s no limits to what you can do.

Dejan: The best one was Disneyland. That was crazy because we got to stay at the resort, we got to bring our kids, and it was so fun to see them enjoy it. And then Nina’s mom came out too.

Q: How would you describe your style?

Nina: Anything comfortable. Earth tones. I love asymmetry, pattern mixing and layering. Summer is hard for me because I don’t know how to layer for summer. A nice silhouette with layers and colour.

Dejan: Fun workwear, DIY, colour. A little bit of hype beast and thrift.

Q: Advice for any new parents?

Nina & Dejan: Work on yourself. Be the best version of yourself that you can be. Be patient and grow with your children.

Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to your younger self?

Nina: I think one of the most important things I have learned throughout my twenties is that you really don’t need permission from anyone to be who you want to be. Growing up, comparison was hard and it’s even harder now with social media. There’s nothing that stands in the way of who you are and who you want to be. And at any given time of any given day, you can become and embody that person. I think when that shift happened for me when I was in University, that was when I really started to feel the happiest in my own skin.

Dejan: It’s only temporary. Whatever you are feeling right now, it’s only temporary. We all get sad and experience things, just knowing that this is a feeling that I am feeling right now and I am not always going to feel like this is important.
